Introductory Class in Manuscript Illumination.

You will be able to complete two illuminations. We will start with a small 15th century decorated letter and finish with an illuminated miniature approximately 9” x 9” panel. Iconography is a slow and thoughtful process and you will learn how to create your own masterpiece & how to paint with gouache, lay, burnish and tool gold as well as render figure & garment, paint foliage as well as border design & what kind of supplies you need to continue on with this wonderful “lost” art. |
