One of the premier contemporary masters of realism. Ryder's subjects have a tangible presence and vitality. Ryder studied at the Art Student's League in New York and the Ecole Albert Defois, in France, with oil painter Ted Seth Jacobs. Ryder has taught at the Art Student's League and Water Street Atelier in New York, as well as private schools and Ateliers in France and the United States.
He recently founded "The Ryder School" in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
